Dolphins have a lot of empathy with human beings because they have personality, character and mood. They also have a high brain capacity, allowing them to recall facts, react to stimuliand learning behaviors. They communicate throughvocalizations and ultrasonic sound waves.
Generally move parallel to the coast, where there is availability of fish and squid, and has a suitable temperature.
They have social hierarchy with a leader, and often move in groups, where males are in the suburbs, and female pups in the middle. They are very curious about the boats, whichsometimes accompany two hours. The young are the mostplayful. Have a nurse, who is placed under the mother, toreceive and encourage the rearing up to breathe. Has a gestation period of 12 months and can live 40 years.
Their most common predators are killer whales and sharks, although a large dolphin can reach a shark swallow.
